Generali has been included in the Dow Jones World Sustainability Index (DJSI), the most prestigious international stock exchange index for Corporate Social Responsibility. The Group is the only Italian insurance company ranked in the Index.

The results confirm Generali’s ability to ensure continuous commitment to sustainable development, the responsible management of the business and stakeholder engagement.

Generali Group CEO, Philippe Donnet, commented: “Generali Group is proud to be part of Dow Jones Sustainability Index. It is recognition of our efforts in terms of sustainability, which the company has demonstrated with a long-term strategy. This Index reflects the importance of the values of our Charter of Sustainability Commitments, which are tangibly present in the daily life of our Group.”

The DJSI, launched in 1999 as the first global sustainability benchmark, tracks the leading sustainability-driven companies (317 in 2018) based on RobecoSAM’s analysis of financially material Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) factors and S&P DJI’s robust index methodology.
