Shareholders' Meeting Extended Inclusion

Shareholders' Meeting Extended Inclusion

The SMEI (Shareholders Meeting Extended Inclusion) program began in 2016 with the aim of overcoming the physical, sensorial and communication barriers that can hinder shareholders and journalists from participating in the Annual General Meeting. This program has developed over time thanks to the enthusiasm, dedication and attention of the volunteers and Generali staff, offering a growing number of services always aimed at supporting everyone's active participation in that central moment in the life of the Company which is the AGM. The continuous evolution of this program is proof of Generali's constant commitment to inclusion, sustainability and the values of its Group strategy.

Shareholders' Meeting Extended Inclusion

Aware of the importance of offering specialized services, over the years Generali has relied on the support of highly qualified professionals and external collaborators, such as the social and healthcare workers in charge of assistance throughout the Meeting, mediators, Italian Sign Language (LIS) interpreters and subtitlers. The activity integrates with the provision of various mobility aids, including wheelchairs and ergonomic cushions. Professionals are supported with great effectiveness and enthusiasm by the volunteers of the Generali Group, a fundamental pillar of the program. Generali strongly believes in the value that volunteers bring to the shareholder assistance program and, at the same time, in the precious wealth of knowledge, skills and sensitivity that participation in SMEI can give to the people of Generali.

Shareholders’ Meeting 2024

Services offered within the program

On the occasion of the Shareholders' Meeting taking place on 24 April 2024, Generali's attention towards all its shareholders and other stakeholders found expression with the implementation of an important service: the live streaming of the meeting proceedings.
This service, in a context of greater inclusiveness, has been integrated with simultaneous translation in English, French, German, Spanish, Italian Sign Language (LIS), and with Italian subtitles.
The Company decided to offer again the live streaming service in order to extend to a wide audience the opportunity to easily attend this fundamental moment of institutional communication.
