Recognition of corporate social commitment to the environment and human rights

Trieste - Assicurazioni Generali has become a constituent of the FTSE4GOOD Global Index and the FTSE4GOOD Index Europe, two equity indices in the series created by the global index company FTSE Group to assess performances and to facilitate investment in companies that meet globally recognised corporate responsibility standards.

Eligible companies are assessed by an independent agency for compliance with the stringent FTSE4GOOD social and environmental criteria in the areas of environmental sustainability, human rights, supply chain labour standards, bribery and climate change.

Generali’s inclusion in the FTSE4GOOD indices acknowledges the Group’s firm commitment to sustainability, with a recent focus on environmental issues and respect for human rights. Thanks to its results in this area, Generali is currently also a constituent of the ASPI (Advanced Sustainable Performance Indices) Eurozone Index, the ECPI Ethical Index Euro and Global indices, and the Benchmark and Leaders indices of the FTSE ECPI Italia SRI, the first Italian index series for socially responsible investment, set up recently through an FTSE / ECPI partnership.
