Excellence in Group Operating Model
A strategic priority of Lifetime Partner 27: Driving Excellence
At Generali, our Lifetime Partner 27: Driving Excellence strategy is driving a bold transformation placing our Customers, Agents, and People at the center of everything we do. One of the three strategic priorities is Excellence in Group Operating Model with the ambition to evolve Group operating model to provide distinctive competences, scalable services, and productivity gains.
During the 2025-2027 strategic cycle we will pursue selective centralization, efficiency, and productivity for the effective deployment of our global expertise and tools. We will increase cost efficiency, improving our insurance cost-income ratio by 3.0 percentage points, enhance our performance across all business lines, and support our teams to do what they do best: meet customer needs.
How we will do this
To make this vision a reality, we are focusing on three key areas:
- Group centralized functions and competences: consolidating expertise to unlock extra value in areas such as investments driving growth in strategic profit pools, nurturing talent, and optimizing capital by pooling Group capabilities
- Group scalable services in operations: expanding shared services to benefit from automation and AI potential across the Group scaling platforms to manage and promote adoption of innovative technologies and operational excellence
- Efficiency and continuous improvement: streamlining processes, reducing bureaucracy, and boosting productivity thanks to the consistent adoption of operational standards and best practices
