Venice Royal Gardens also win the Grand Prix of the European Cultural Heritage Awards 2023

The Gardens have received a second recognition in addition to the Europa Nostra Award 2023, Europe's most prestigious cultural heritage prize

The Royal Gardens of Venice have received further prestigious recognition within the European Awards for Cultural Heritage 2023. Already among the winners of the most important European prize for cultural heritage, Europa Nostra Awards 2023, which was awarded last June, the Royal Gardens have also won the Grand Prix in recognition of the restoration and conservation work carried out on the ancient area overlooking St. Mark's Square basin in Venice.

The intervention, which was carried out by the Venice Garden Foundation, chaired by Adele Re Rebaudengo, and supported by Assicurazioni Generali as the project's main partner, has made it possible to bring this space back to life and reopen it to the public on 17th December 2019, offering citizens and tourists from all over the world an oasis of beauty surrounded by greenery.
