Career

Nora Gürtler is the Group Chief Audit Officer of Generali Group since October 2017.

After studying mathematics in Germany and France, followed by a PhD at the University of Karlsruhe, Nora began her career as an analyst at Tillinghast-Towers Perrin’s office in Cologne. She joined Generali Deutschland in 2003 as a Senior Analyst in the Property & Casualty business, and became team leader for "Actuarial Valuations Life & Health" in 2007.
In 2011, she was appointed Chief Risk Officer of Generali in Germany, where she also led the Solvency II implementation project. After joining the Management Board of Generali Deutschland in 2016, she took the lead of the global Group Audit function in 2017.

Nora chairs the Insurance Committee of ECIIA and is a member of the Management Board of the German Actuarial Association (DAV), where she chairs the Education Committee.
