Generali Protect Me, the new weather alert app to better protect & prevent

In recent years, floods and storms have highlighted the growing threat of extreme and sudden weather events. But existing warning systems do not always reach the impacted population fast enough - sometimes with devastating consequences.

To address this situation, Generali Deutschland has created ‘’Generali Protect Me’’, an innovative weather alert app that supports users in managing the risks of dangerous weather events in a smart and effortless way. Currently available in Germany, the app was developed in collaboration with Meteologix, a well-known German weather data provider and one of the leading international meteorological service companies.

Customization and prevention

Generali Protect Me is designed as a customized weather alert system that enables users to protect themselves, their loved ones and their property from weather damages – at home and also while driving.

With the app users can subscribe to precisely localized pre-warning and real-time alerts for their individually chosen locations and for their route while driving the car. Furthermore, the app also promotes prevention with concrete tips and provides support and information in situations of emergency and damages.

Thanks to its intuitive interface and numerous customization options, Generali Protect Me is a valuable tool for dealing with emergencies related to extreme weather events and creates additional value for customers, in line with Generali’s Lifetime Partner Ambition.
