Generali joins the European Mobility Week 2017

European Mobility Week is the yearly initiative promoted by the European Commission to raise awareness on the close connections existing between economy and environment. Generali renews its support to the initiative in 2017 edition which will take place on the 16-22 September under the banner “Clean, shared and intelligent mobility”.

This project aims at encouraging European cities to introduce and promote a sustainable transport system, inviting people to avoid cars and find alternative means of transport.

The transport sector is responsible for almost a quarter of Europe’s greenhouse gas emissions and it is the main cause of air pollution in cities. This is why there is a strong need to reduce these emissions and to improve cleaner mobility habits.

Generali wants to play an active role in promoting the transition towards a more sustainable economy and society and it is strongly committed to reduce its environmental footprint working towards the objective of reducing our impacts by 20% by 2020.
