Generali Country Italia has launched the first Italian corporate insurance Hackathon for the ideation of innovative solutions
Generali Italia has launched the first Italian corporate Hackathon in the insurance sector to design innovative and technologically-advanced solutions on four projects which are strategical for the Italian insurance business of Generali.
The 24-hour event has involved 120 people from Generali Italia, Alleanza and Genertel, divided into heterogeneous and multidisciplinary teams that have addressed four matters of strategic importance: tools and social logic applied to the sales networks, customer centricity, the agency of the future, Internet of Things and Big Data applied to insurance products.
Innovation and digitalization together with the employees learning are key issues for Generali Italia. The Hackathon is a follow-up of the recent beginning of the Big data & Analytics master (Big Data Training Program) developed by Generali Italia with the Institute of Information Science and Technologies (CNR) and the Department of Computer Science of the University of Pisa.
The initiative is carried out in collaboration with H-FARM, an innovation platform based in Ca’ Tron in the Treviso’s province. The purpose of the platform is to facilitate the creation of new corporate models as well as support the transformation and education of companies. The selection of the collaboration with H-FARM, in addition to its strong innovative vocation, is in line with the willingness of Generali Italia to collaborate with the paramount Italian realities of the territory.
