The Human Safety Net's NetWorks 2025: Building a Movement for Greater Impact
More than a summit – a global community! The Human Safety Net’s annual gathering brought together over 200 changemakers in Venice for three days of global collaboration and inspiration, ready to take the next step in building a movement that truly leaves no one behind
From 5th to 7th November 2025, The Human Safety Net gathered its global community once again for NetWorks, the annual summit held at the historic Procuratie in St Mark’s Square, Venice – the Home of The Human Safety Net.
Over three inspiring days, the Foundation welcomed 85 partner organizations from 25 countries to share experiences, learn from one another, and explore how they can scale their collective impact.
One of the key topics of this year’s gathering was demography – a vital system that sustains our societies and in which our partners play such a crucial role, both through the For Families and the For Refugees programmes. As Professor Alessandra Minello reminded us in her keynote on how demographic shifts are reshaping our world:
“Every shift in population structure – whether it’s declining fertility, forced migration, or aging – changes what vulnerability means and how opportunity can be created.”
This insight set the tone for conversations around how we can respond to evolving social needs by strengthening partnerships, sharing evidence, and designing scalable solutions.
As we close this year’s edition, we are reminded of how essential this gathering is — not only to align and learn with partners to increase our collective impact, but also to listen, reflect, and grow together as a community.
The Human Safety Net is a global movement of people helping people that supports vulnerable families with children aged 0-6 and contributes to the integration of refugees through work and entrepreneurship. Today, The Human Safety Net operates in 25 countries with 85 partners. Since its foundation in 2017, it has supported over 830,000 children, parents and refugees.
