Wellbeing and Health & Safety Initiatives
In Generali, we are fully committed to offering safe and healthy working environments and continuously protecting the physical and mental health of our employees
The Group’s legal entities have launched several initiatives aimed at actively promoting the safety and well-being of their employees, going beyond the minimum requirements set by current local regulations.
More specifically, these initiatives are mainly aimed at:
- supporting mental well-being, through services dedicated to psychological well-being, which include, for example, prevention activities focused on stress management;
- promoting the physical health of employees through initiatives such as periodic health check-ups and health measures to further protect our people;
- developing a comfortable work environment through, for example, the integration of spaces in offices that facilitate work activities or by providing ergonomic materials and tools;
- promoting physical activity, by including, for example, fitness rooms in our buildings or supporting the organisation of sports activities for our people;
- providing training activities on topics related to well-being, health, ergonomics, and safe driving, through courses, workshops, and meetings with experts.
For each of these initiatives, several specific actions were defined, involving employees across the Group. In particular, actions focused on:
Supporting mental well-being
through several dedicated actions, including services and tools aimed at both psychological support (such as online sessions with psychologists, workshops, and specific platforms) and mental well-being (such as webinars, programmes, or workshops made available to employees);
Promoting physical health
through actions that allow employees to access specific health services free of charge, such as vaccinations, medical visits, and consultations available online or via dedicated call services. Additional health measures, including equipment such as defibrillators and air purifiers, have also been introduced to further safeguard our employees' health;
Developing a comfortable work environment
through actions aimed at creating spaces that facilitate both work activities and interaction among colleagues, as well as dedicated areas for sharing and relaxation, such as break zones and meal areas. In addition, ergonomic tools and equipment are provided to employees, including chairs, desks, footrests, dual monitor setups, or larger-sized monitors;
Promoting physical activity
through dedicated fitness areas within company spaces, where employees can exercise independently or participate in specific courses (e.g. yoga and Pilates to improve physical well-being and posture), as well as through discounts and agreements for gym memberships and sports events. Participation in physical activities is further encouraged through the organisation of sports initiatives such as marathons;
Providing training activities
on topics related to well-being, health, ergonomics, and safe driving, including content focused on stress management, physical health, and the importance of sleep. Employees can also participate in safe driving courses (both online and practical), access ergonomics-related training materials, and take part in awareness campaigns on topics such as oncological risks and healthy nutrition.
The initiatives have been adopted by the Group's legal entities in a differentiated manner, considering local peculiarities and the specificities of the regions where the Group operates.
