Learning for the Future

Learning is about staying attuned to change by developing and preparing our People for the future. As change accelerates, the Group fosters a continuous learning Culture that helps People stay ready, adaptable, and engaged, while developing the capabilities needed to navigate what comes next

Markets evolve. Technologies accelerate. Expectations shift. Therefore, skills age faster than ever, and staying current is what makes the difference.

At Generali, learning is not an abstract principle, but a concrete, everyday experience that helps People remain prepared and engaged in a world that never stands still.

Learning keeps us open, connected, and ready for what comes next understanding what is happening around us, exploring new perspectives, and turning insight into action.

One Group. One Learning Experience

Learning at Generali is built on a shared approach connecting People, knowledge, and opportunities across the Group. Because learning becomes more engaging and more powerful, when it is experienced together.

That is why Generali is developing a Group Integrated Learning, an ecosystem that brings together People, content, and experiences across countries, functions, and roles.

Through this model, learning becomes a collective experience that supports the development of a common language of skills and capabilities. It ensures that learning is consistent, accessible, and relevant wherever People work, while remaining flexible enough to reflect local needs and individual interests. The result is a learning experience that feels dynamic, engaging, and alive.

At the centre of this ecosystem is the Generali Group Academy, which sets shared standards, curates high-quality content, and fosters collaboration at scale.

Learning in Practice

Learning at Generali is designed to be closely connected to everyday work. Through We LEARN, the Group’s global upskilling programme, learning becomes part of daily activities, designed around real needs. Applying knowledge directly in day-to-day work is how People develop over time.

We LEARN connects Group Integrated Learning to practical experiences giving access to a wide range of learning opportunities to explore new topics, deepen expertise, or exchange perspectives across the Group.

These experiences fit different rhythms, contexts and preferences. They include digital learning for self-paced development, live virtual sessions that bring together internal and external expertise, and in-person or immersive programmes that create space for connection, experimentation, and inspiration.

Learning is further enriched through partnerships with leading universities, global experts, and innovative partners, as well as through Generali’s internal faculty a community of professionals contributing through mentoring, peer learning, and structured knowledge sharing.

Skills for Today – and Tomorrow

At Generali, learning focuses on building the capabilities that matter most today and in the future.

As our business evolves, so do the skills required to succeed. Our approach anticipates these changes, helping People strengthen their capabilities and stay ready for what comes next in an insurance and asset management environment shaped by rapid change, evolving regulation, and rising societal expectations.

We focus on three key areas that help People operate with confidence today and prepare for the challenges ahead:

Technical and Functional Expertise trainings ensures that our People can deepen insurance, financial, and risk-related knowledge, while supporting excellence in execution across roles and business areas.

Data, AI & GenAI trainings help colleagues build confidence in using technology, data, and AI – developing the ability to apply these tools responsibly within insurance and asset management contexts, enabling more informed decisions, greater efficiency, and new ways of working.

Behavioural Capabilities remain essential to how we work together – from collaboration and communication to adaptability, critical thinking, and leading with a human-centric mindset, bringing our Excellence Culture to life in everyday work.

These capabilities support both individual growth and the ongoing evolution of Generali’s business.

Investing in Learning. Investing in People

Keeping learning alive requires commitment and a clear belief in People.

Generali invests every year in learning to keep learning open, continuous and inclusive, enabling everyone to play an active role in shaping the future of our Group and to find meaning in their work.

To further strengthen this approach, Generali has introduced a dedicated Learning Innovation Centre, focused on exploring and applying emerging technologies, particularly AI, to enhance how learning is designed, delivered, and experienced.

The Centre aims to support more engaging, personalised, and effective learning journeys, reinforcing Generali’s ambition to remain at the forefront of innovation and foster People’s development.
