DEI = Innovation = Future
I would like to point out two major iniatives out of a wide range of different measures we took in the last years:
Löwinnen Programm:
Recognizing that gender diversity is not just a moral imperative but also a critical driver of creativity and innovation, we implemented a multifaceted approach to ensure equal opportunities for all employees.
Our Löwinnen Programm is an Inclusive Leadership Development that aims to identify and nurture leadership potential among women within the organization, ensuring a pipeline of diverse talent for top leadership positions. That is why we have established this groundbreaking Managerial Program for Women. This initiative is designed to empower and uplift talented women within the organization, providing them with the skills, knowledge, and support necessary to excel in leadership positions. We recognizes that, despite strides in workplace equality, gender disparities persist, particularly in upper management. The Löwinnenprogramm is a proactive response to these challenges, aiming to dismantle barriers and cultivate a leadership landscape that reflects the diversity of its workforce.
Key Components of the Program:
- Comprehensive Leadership Training: The program offers a tailored curriculum focusing on the unique challenges and opportunities faced by women in (future) leadership roles. Covering topics such as strategic decision-making, effective communication, and navigating organizational dynamics, the training equips participants with the skills needed to thrive in managerial positions.
- Mentorship and Coaching: Mentorship plays a pivotal role in career development. The Löwinnenprogramm pairs participants with each other. Additionally, professional coaching is provided to address individual goals and challenges, fostering a supportive environment for personal and professional growth.
- Networking Opportunities: Building a robust professional network is essential for career advancement. The program facilitates networking opportunities within Generali.
Diversity Exchange
In the fast-paced and ever-changing landscape of the insurance world, fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange between different generations of employees is more crucial than ever. Recognizing this need, we have embarked on another groundbreaking initiative—a Tandem Mentoring Program which we call Diversity Exchange. This innovative program pairs young and seasoned employees in a mentor-mentee relationship, fostering a dynamic exchange of skills, experiences, and perspectives over the course of one year.
The Diversity Exchange Program was born out of our commitment to creating an inclusive and collaborative workplace that harnesses the collective wisdom of its diverse workforce. The program is designed to bridge the generational gap, providing a structured platform for the transfer of knowledge and skills between experienced employees who have a wealth of industry expertise and their younger counterparts who bring fresh ideas and technological acumen to the table.
As the Tandem Mentoring Program enters its third year with more than 100 participants taking part the impact is evident in both individual growth and the overall workplace culture. Diversity Exchange Program stands as a shining example of how intentional efforts to bridge the generational gap can yield remarkable results. By fostering meaningful connections and facilitating the exchange of knowledge between seasoned professionals and the next generation of talents, the program not only enhances individual skills but also contributes to a more cohesive and innovative workplace culture.
As Generali Austria continues to champion initiatives like the Löwinnen or the Diversity Exchange programs, it solidifies its position as a forward-thinking organization committed to our Lifetimepartner Behaviors.
