The heart of Procuratie

Hidden in plain sight, the word cura —Italian for care—sits at the core of the name Procuratie.

This is no coincidence: for centuries, this iconic building in the heart of Venice has been a place where care was practiced, protected, and passed on. Today, that legacy continues, evolving into a living destination where care for people, culture, and opportunities shapes every experience.


The Palace have stood for centuries as a symbol of public service, civic pride, and deep human responsibility.
Once home to the Procuratori di San Marco—dignitaries entrusted with safeguarding the treasures, legacies, and vulnerable lives of the Republic—the building has always embodied a mission of care.

Today, that mission is renewed and reimagined, opening its historic arches to the world with the same spirit of protection and service.

The Procuratie are no longer only a memory of Venice’s glorious past. They are now a living, breathing space where care is lived in many forms:
