Ranjana always fought for women rights and is a true role model for Indian women. Like many of them, she experienced discrimination and social barriers to education and freedom of choice. Author of ‘Brides are not for burning’, she witnessed a dowry murder in her young age. Since then, she fights for more equality between women and men in India and set up the Center for Social Research in Delhi, committing to defending vulnerable and disadvantaged women from violence and discrimination, supporting women in developing self-confidence, and striving to change society by fighting biases and promoting a more inclusive culture.
