At a time when global action is more important than ever, when countries, people and businesses over the world continue to struggle with natural disasters and the effects of climate change, we support the commitment of public and private entities join forces and work together to contribute to sustainable development. In this context, my team has been committed since the very beginning to holding up the Generali & UNDP partnership:, a unique collaboration aiming to boost access to insurance and risk finance solutions to reduce the protection gap globally.

We truly believe in the power of this program to reshape the insurance landscape and make a lasting global impact and every day we see how this partnership fully reflects our responsible behaviours:

  • As a Responsible Corporate Citizen, in helping society's most vulnerable people and places

  • As a Responsible Insurer, in using our technical expertise to design digitally enabled insurance solutions to boost the UNDP's efforts to enable sustainable development, reduce poverty and increase resilience in more at-risk locations

  • As a Responsible Employer, in raising awareness within our Group on sustainable development and how insurance can contribute to it


Today, one year and a half after our partnership was announced, I can say this program is a “game changer” in our Group. Alongside our leaders and sponsors, we help to enable new ways of using insurance as a tool navigate uncertainties and foster resilience. We are working to support people in our organization change their perspective and their way of working, putting sustainability at the very core of everything they do. And all together we can drive this change and be “Responsible Future Game Changers”.
