Gender equality and inclusion: our commitment

For Generali, gender equality is much more than a principle: it inspires the way we work and the way we are, the choices we make and the actions we take. Our goal is to create an environment where everyone feels respected, valued, and included, going beyond simply improving working conditions.

This commitment takes shape through concrete actions, from fighting gender-based violence to supporting shared parenting.

We have started the process to obtain Gender Equality Certification UNI/PdR 125:2022, an important recognition that confirms our concrete commitment to ensuring equal opportunities and inclusion within the company.

General Principles for Gender Equality

We have defined the General Principles for Gender Equality, a document that encompasses our guiding principles and values:

  • embracing diversity
  • promoting inclusion
  • building a fair workplace where everyone can fully express their potential.

The General Principles for Gender Equality serve as a reference point for all company initiatives in this area and represent the foundation of our daily commitment.

The role of the Steering Committee

To turn these principles into reality, the Steering Committee was established to work toward strategic objectives related to inclusion and equal opportunities. The Committee contributes to defining company policies and implementing the dedicated strategic plan, with the goal of ensuring continuous improvement.

It is composed of:

  • Marco Sesana, General Manager
  • Raffaele Mizzau, People and Organization Director
  • Monica Bastiani, Head of People Care
  • Anna Chiara Lucchini, Head of Group Leadership Development & Academy
  • Laura Basso, Head of Group People Communications & Event Management

The Committee is available to collect reports and suggestions through the mailbox: ho-peoplecare@generali.com.
