In France, people say “he for she”

Launched by UN Women, HeForShe is a major international solidarity movement for gender equality that encourages men to take action against the inequality experienced by women, and to support their rights. In supporting this campaign, Generali France is the first French company to campaign for diversity and gender equality.

The Watchdog on Women and Insurance (an initiative launched by Generali in 2011 to better understand the expectations and the role of women with respect to insurance services) held a day dedicated to raising awareness on the issue, during which the #HeForShe campaign was launched at Generali France.

In 2014 and 2015, CEO Eric Lombard and over 200 employees were photographed with the #HeForShe banner at two photo shoots. As part of this initiative, Generali France also supported the activities of the association Horizon Mixitè (Diversity Horizon), chaired by Isabelle Joschke, who single-handedly skippered the yacht sponsored by Generali. The association took part in the start of the Route du Rhum, with 29 famous yachtsmen involved in the awareness campaign.
