United Nations Global Compact 100
On 18 September 2013, Generali was included in the United Nations Global Compact 100, a new global index that combines company performance on environmental and social issues with financial performance.
Developed and published by the UN Global Compact in collaboration with research company Sustainalytics, the GC 100 comprises a representative group of Global Compact companies, selected according to their compliance with the ten principles, the commitment shown by top management, and their profitability.
Newsweek Green Rankings 2015
In the Newsweek Green Rankings 2015 published by the Newsweek magazine, Generali was the 5° best company among the main competitors in the insurance sector and ranked 44° among the largest 500 companies worldwide with an overall score of 67.9/100 (63.3/100 in 2014).
Newsweek Green Rankings is one of the world’s foremost corporate environmental rankings that measures the environmental performance of large public companies using eight clearly defined key performance indicators. The methodology is clear and rules-based, and meets the test of being replicable and meets the test of being replicable by a third party.
Newsweek partnered with Corporate Knights Capital, a Canadian investment advisory and research firm, to produce this year’s ranking.
Lundquist's CSR Online Awards 2014
In the CSR Online Awards 2014 – Europe 100, evaluating the corporate websites of the 100 largest European companies in the FTSE Eurotop 100 index, Generali was ranked in 38th place with 42.75 points.
The study, now in its sixth year, was conducted by communications company Lundquist, which assessed how companies use their corporate website and digital channels to communicate on sustainability and engage stakeholders.
The CSR Online Awards Italy 2014 evaluated 100 Italian companies – the 80 largest listed companies and 20 largest unlisted companies that report on social responsibility topics – and ranked Generali in 13th place.
