Included in TIME’s World’s Most Sustainable Companies 2026
Generali has once again been included in TIME’s World’s Most Sustainable Companies 2026, a ranking developed in collaboration with Statista to highlight companies embedding sustainability into their business strategies.
For the third edition of the ranking, more than 5,000 of the world’s largest and most influential companies were considered. Through a four-step methodology, the ranking identifies the top 750 companies using more than 20 key data points.
Being included in this global list is a meaningful recognition of our long-term commitment and of the progress we are making to integrate sustainability into the way we do responsible business.
Generali named one of Newsweek’s World’s Greenest Companies 2026
The Group was included in Newsweek’s World’s Greenest Companies 2026, which recognises the top 850 companies across 28 countries working to reduce their environmental footprint and contribute to a more sustainable future. The ranking is based on a comprehensive analysis of self-disclosed sustainability data.
In a context marked by rising emissions, deforestation, record temperatures and increasingly frequent extreme weather events, the transition to a more resilient and low-carbon economy is more urgent than ever.
This recognition highlights the Group’s commitment towards the environment and climate, reinforcing its role in supporting a green and just transition while fostering societal resilience.
Generali ranked first for ESG in the 2026 Extel rankings
Generali was also ranked first in the “Best ESG Program” category by Extel, a leading international financial research provider.
This recognition reflects the strength and consistency of the Group’s ESG approach, which brings together environmental, social and governance principles and integrates them into Generali’s core activities.
The Extel rankings are based on the evaluation of around 1,500 professionals, including institutional investors and financial analysts, considering aspects such as leadership, credibility, capital allocation, board quality and ESG metrics.
Recognised among Europe’s Climate Leaders 2026 by Financial Times
Generali was also included in Europe’s Climate Leaders 2026 ranking, compiled by the Financial Times in partnership with Statista.
Now in its sixth edition, the ranking highlights 600 European companies that are making progress in reducing greenhouse gas emissions from their core operations. In particular, it focuses on companies that achieved significant reductions in their Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions between 2019 and 2024.
Being included in this ranking is another recognition of the progress made by the Group in managing our environmental impact and contributing to climate action.
