Information, knowledge and prevention: these are the instruments identified by Mario Tozzi, CNR geologist and expert in seismic risk and hydrogeological instability, to confront natural calamities. Wide-ranging and devastating as they may be, the consequences of catastrophic events can be contained through policies promoting responsible soil consumption, avoiding needlessly exposing property and people to risks, but also adopting preventive and monitoring instruments.
