Generali unwetter app

In Austria we have launched a free weather application, with eight-day forecasts on temperatures, cloud cover, rainfall, and wind speed and direction. It also features an alert function for extremely bad weather, helping to protect people and property.

The app is based on HORA (Natural Hazard Overview & Risk Assessment Austria) – an Austrian mapping system developed by the Lebensministerium (Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, the Environment and Water Management) in collaboration with the Austrian association of insurance companies (VVO).

The system focuses on the analysis of heavy rainfall, violent hailstorms, flooding and earthquakes.
