For responsible tourism

For the last five years, a festival dedicated to eco-friendly outdoor life has been held in the Bucegi Mountains in Romania, at 1,500 metres above sea level. The aim is to promote mountain tourism and to teach respect for the environment, so that tourism does not have a negative impact on the natural world.

The five-day festival includes outdoor sports activities – excursions, adventure trails, mountain biking, climbing and archery – and concerts by Romanian and international bands. A camp site is set up under the trees in the festival area. Over 1,000 people attended the 2014 Padina Fest.

A team of Generali employees takes part in the event every year, helping the organisers to clean the area where the stage is erected. We also subsidise cleaning activities in the area so that the festival does not harm the environment.
