Generali hands over the new Theatre for Childhood and Adolescence to the city of Milan
Generali handed over the Theatre for Childhood and Adolescence to the city of Milan. The complex restructuring process involved in the renovation of the theatre since 2015 and promoted by Generali Real Estate, further engaged since 2009 in the transformation of a large, abandoned industrial area, currently known as Maciachini Business Park.
Gabriele Galateri di Genola, Chairman of Assicurazioni Generali, commented: “Handing over this edifice to the city of Milan renders Generali, always at forefront in the promotion of arts and culture, extremely proud. The Maciachini Theatre embodies a virtuous example of a public-private partnership aimed at societal betterment.”
The Theatre, planned by the architect and designer Italo Rota, is of particular architectonical value and has been conceived so to allow diverse uses due to its ample surface area and to its articulated, differentiated and flexible spaces.
