Generali Global Infrastructure awarded as “Infrastructure Manager 2020”

Insurance Asset Management awarded Generali Investments’ boutique dedicated to infrastructure investments. Aperture and Generali Insurance AM were also shortlisted.

Generali Global Infrastructure - the boutique focused on infrastructure investments and part of Generali Investments' multi-boutique platform – has obtained a prestigious international recognition. The UK-based magazine Insurance Asset Management has awarded it as "Best Infrastructure Manager of the Year" during the latest Insurance Asset Management Awards 2020, now in their fourth edition.

The award, assigned by a jury composed of Insurance AM professionals and top executives of leading insurance and financial advisory groups, recognized Generali Global Infrastructure's distinctive management style focused on responsible and positive impact investments, its focus on ESG profiles throughout the asset lifecycle, and the integration of proprietary ESG models into the assessment of potential investments.

Philippe Benaroya, CEO of Generali Global Infrastructure, commented: “We are proud of this recognition of our sustainable approach to infrastructure investment. At GGI we carefully select investment themes opportunities capable of generating a long-term positive impact for the environment, our society and the future generations, looking for example at the great challenges of energy transition, digital transformation, green mobility and social infrastructure in the health and education sectors. These themes will drive the path of our economies towards an increasingly sustainable and resilient future”.

At the latest edition of the Insurance Asset Management Awards, two other boutiques of Generali Group asset management platform were shortlisted among the best asset managers of the year: Aperture Investors, a partnership between the Generali Group and Peter Kraus that offers an unconstrained approach combined with a unique fee model, among the candidates as "Active Manager of the Year"; and Generali Insurance Asset Management, specialized in Asset Liability Management and LDI strategies for Group companies, external insurance companies and pension funds, as "Innovation Provider of the Year”.
