A cross-cultural experience at Generali

The Generali Group launched the Generali China/CNPC Development Program together with its strategic partner, China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC), as part of Generali’s devoted commitments to the emerging markets. The aim of the Program has been to strengthen the Chinese partners’ and colleagues’ understanding of the Insurance business and Generali world by a certificate study program of Insurance Management, working on real projects, networking with colleagues and living a cross-cultural experience.
The program involved Chinese delegates from CNPC and from Generali China at Generali Group Head Office across different functions, learning both hard skills as well as soft. Based on their skill sets, the delegates were able to learn, observe and deep dive into the running projects in Finance, Insurance and Reinsurance, Global Business Lines or Investment.
Generali Group Academy, which aims to nurture our people and live the community, launched the program to enhance cross-cultural communications and boost the inclusiveness at Generali World, as well as develop talents across geographies.
The Generali Group operates in China through a joint venture with the China National Petroleum Company and is active on both the Life market (Generali China Life) and the Non-Life market (Generali China Insurance). Generali China Life today is one of China’s largest foreign insurance companies in terms of Life premium income.
