Generali signs a Joint Declaration with the European Works Council on technological transformation and Artificial Intelligence
Artificial Intelligence and technological revolution are reshaping work. At Generali, we embrace this transformation journey as an opportunity for sustainable growth, with our human-centric culture at the core, strengthening social dialogue and fostering the evolution of a learning organization.
The Joint Declaration on technological transformation, digitalization and Artificial Intelligence (AI) - that Generali preliminary signed with the Select Committee of the European Works Council (EWC), the employee representative body in the European Union, on December 17 and confirmed with all participants’ signatures on February 4 - marks a major milestone. It sets clear guidelines for the responsible use of technology and AI, reinforces social dialogue, and supports sustainable performance through change management, training and skills development, data protection, safety, and transparency.
AI and data‑driven Excellence represents one of the strategic foundations of the “Lifetime Partner 2027: Driving Excellence” plan. By leveraging AI and data‑based solutions - and by placing people and human oversight of technology at the centre - the Group will further enhance customer experience, increase productivity, and strengthen technical capabilities.
As part of a process initiated several years ago with the EWC on other macro-issues related to work, this Declaration sets out a shared framework of guiding principles for the Group’s sustainable and responsible growth.
