HITS at Mastercard Executive Roundtable – Navigating the Future of Insurance Transactions

On 27 January 2026, HITS participated in an executive roundtable hosted by Mastercard in collaboration with Checkout.com at Mastercard’s offices in London. The invite-only session brought together a small group of senior leaders from across the insurance market for a focused discussion on the future of transaction models.

Held under the Chatham House Rule, the roundtable explored the theme “Navigating the Future of Insurance Transactions.” Discussions focused on how AI-enabled and agent-driven commerce experiences are reshaping customer expectations around speed, personalization, and seamless execution. As intelligent systems increasingly initiate and manage transactions, participants examined implications for governance, accountability, technology choices, regulatory considerations, and the organisational changes required to support adoption at scale.

HITS was represented by CEO Ruth Armalé and Insurance Innovation Lead Habib Gzara, as part of its ongoing engagement with partners at the intersection of insurtech, digital commerce, and emerging technologies. The session provided a valuable setting for candid dialogue and relationship building, contributing to HITS’ understanding of how payment infrastructure, embedded insurance, and agentic commerce may influence the next phase of insurance distribution and operations.
