Geoya wins the February “Insurance Innovation of the Month” Award from Qorus

The climate resilience platform developed by Generali France, MAIF, Société Générale Assurances, Saretec, and Sixense is now officially among the nominees for the Innovation in Insurance Awards 2026

Geoya has been named February’s Insurance Innovation of the Month by Qorus, a recognition that celebrates its forward-looking approach to strengthening climate resilience. With this achievement, Geoya automatically enters the shortlist for the Innovation in Insurance Awards 2026, one of the sector’s leading global competitions.

Strengthening resilience in a changing climate

As climate‑related events grow in frequency and impact, insurers face increasing pressure on long-term insurability: rising claims costs, widening high‑risk areas, and a shortage of prevention tools are reshaping the sector’s landscape.

Geoya was created in response to these challenges. Developed by Generali France, MAIF, Société Générale Assurances, Saretec, and Sixense, it delivers a structured and operational solution designed to support policyholders before losses occur and to reinforce long‑term resilience.

A sector‑wide platform focused on prevention

To advance this objective, Geoya operates as a marketplace platform open to all insurers and dedicated to climate‑risk prevention. Through practical tools, expert insights, and specialized services, it enables individuals, businesses, and communities to:

  • identify vulnerabilities to climate risks
  • adopt effective prevention and mitigation measures.

The founding framework of the joint venture was publicly announced on January 28, 2026, and the project is currently under review by the competition authorities. If approved, operations are expected to launch in spring 2026.

Outside of France, Geoya is currently being assessed by Generali Group to support Business Units in order to improve the current climate loss prevention framework enabling vulnerability assessments of the insured assets and identification of prevention measures

Visibility through the Qorus innovation ecosystem

Geoya’s recognition also comes with increased visibility across the Qorus global innovation ecosystem, which showcases leading insurance innovations across international markets.

This exposure connects organisations to:

  • leading-edge best practices
  • curated insights on emerging trends
