Making the most of human resources is an important feature of our identity.
We want to promote individual abilities and encourage personal and professional
growth.
The Generali Group Innovation Academy (GGIA) – the Corporate University – has been set up to plan and implement the Group managerial and professional
development projects.
We organise basic managerial and professional training for the Group and the
Company’s employees, as well as training for the sales staff in Italy.
The Academy's flagship programmes include:
Executive Forum
They are strategic conversation meetings witnessing the participation of international
experts to exchange and come up with new ideas and knowledge on future strategic
priorities and opportunities.
It is targeted to the Group’s Top Executives.
Strategic Management Forum
They draw inspiration from the more general and international Executive Forums
and deal with the same issues in the main Group languages to widen the local strategic
debate to a larger number of people. Their outputs are gathered with the outputs
of international forums and reported to the Group Management at year end.
Ulysses Programme
It is a one-year module to discuss and investigate the Group’s competitive advantage
by exploring ideas and procedures in different business, geographical and institutional
contexts.
It is targeted to the Group’s Senior and Middle Managers.
Leonardo Programme
It is a series of international workshops targeted to junior managers and highly-skilled
professionals within the Group. This initiative has been designed to create a
community of people reflecting upon cultural, managerial and organisational differences
within the Group and drawing benefit from them in terms of opportunities for personal
and professional growth.
Marco Polo Programme
It is a specific programme targeted to all the Generali Group employees going to work abroad for more than 6 months. The aim
is to promote an international outlook by developing the international leadership
skills of people moving within the Group, so as to help them act in a rapidly-changing
global context characterised by different local dimensions.
Welcome Programme
This programme has been devised to facilitate the integration and professional
development of newly-recruited employees. It is a three-step course aimed at promoting
individual professional growth in line with the Group’s values, behaviour and
operational approach, thus increasing the sense of belonging to a major international
company.
Training Programmes in Italy:
Job families
A job family approach has been introduced to promote targeted and systematic
initiatives on technical skills. Job families are groups of people working in
the different Group companies operating with the same corporate macro-processes,
using similar tools, techniques and methodologies and sharing knowledge, languages
and know-how.
Essere Leader
It is targeted to more than 1500 managers and middle managers of the Group in
Italy. It is a project to promote cultural change, whose aim is to develop and
strengthen leadership at all management levels by increasingly involving people
in the pursuit of the Group’s objectives.
Miglioriamoci
It is targeted to all the staff members of the Group in Italy. It is a 3-day workshop focused on personal leadership, effective communication,
teamwork and knowledge sharing.
