Luis Roset Sucar

Chief Insurance Officer 

Born in Spain on 2 June 1963 and currently lives in Hong Kong.

Luis Roset Sucar oversees Generali Asia’s product development, pricing, underwriting, portfolio management, claims and reinsurance across seven geographies for Life & Savings, Accident & Health, and Property & Casualty.  

Luis Roset Sucar is a qualified Industrial Engineer, having graduated from the Higher Technical School of Industrial Engineers of Valencia (Spain), and brings more than three decades of experience in the insurance industry, with extensive strategic and technical expertise across Property & Casualty and Life & Health.

Luis joined the Generali Group in 1991, and has since held a number of senior leadership positions across Spain, Portugal and Asia. His roles have included Chief Insurance Officer of Generali Portugal (2015–2017), Chief Technical Officer of Generali Spain (2018–2021), Regional Chief Insurance Officer for Asia (2021–2024), and, most recently, Chief Insurance Officer of Generali Spain (2024–2026).

During his previous tenure in Asia, Luis contributed to strengthening Generali’s insurance capabilities across the region. He also served on the boards of Generali Life Hong Kong and of Generali’s life and general insurance companies in India. His international career and extensive experience within the Group have given him deep expertise across P&C and Life & Health businesses, as well as a strong understanding of both European and Asian insurance markets.

Effective 1 November 2026, Luis has returned to Asia as Chief Insurance Officer (CInsO) for Generali Asia, to lead the next phase of the region’s insurance agenda.
