Generali Group co-hosts EU-China Green Energy Forum with Bocconi University
Generali Group jointly held the forum themed EU-China Relations in the Green Energy Sector with Bocconi University in Milan, Italy. Centered on energy storage, the event unveiled the research report Energy Storage Insurance White Paper: Prosperity Under Pressure, jointly compiled by Generali China Insurance and Fudan University. It gathered representatives from academic circles, leading new energy enterprises and green investment institutions across Europe and China to explore new paths for cooperation, competition and interdependence amid green transition.
Andrea Sironi, Chairman of Generali Group and President of Bocconi University, delivered the opening speech. He stated that energy storage serves as core infrastructure for global low-carbon transition, exerting profound impacts on energy security and industrial landscape of Europe and China. He looked forward to advancing cooperation on green technologies and bridging differences via an integrated academic and industrial exchange platform.
Jack Yuan, CEO of Generali China Insurance (GCI), delivered a keynote address, noting that the green insurance strategy of GCI is aligned with Generali Group’s global sustainable development strategy.
During the roundtable discussion, Lucia Silva, Chief Sustainability Officer of Generali Group, called on Europe and China to safeguard global climate goals and jointly advance worldwide green and low-carbon transformation.
The forum built an efficient communication bridge for EU-China green energy exchanges. Going forward, GCI will continue facilitating in-depth dialogue and practical cooperation in this field, steadily driving global green low-carbon development.
