Generali joined insightful discussions at Boao Forum for Asia 2025
This year’s Boao Forum for Asia provided a high-level platform for international dialogue about the issues of our time. Held in Boao, China and founded by 29 countries across the Asia Pacific, the event puts an acute focus on sustainable development and the priorities around this. Generali has now participated for two consecutive years, contributing important perspective on the state of play in Asia Pacific and what more needs to happen to ensure the region transitions effectively.
Jaime Anchústegui, Deputy CEO Insurance of Generali Group, attended this year’s forum and joined a roundtable on transition finance for a net-zero future. As a responsible insurer, this is an issue near and dear to us given that only 40% of global economic losses from natural disasters are insured - a significant gap in coverage.
Jaime spoke on the key role that we can play in helping local communities across the region build resilience to climate challenges. From green insurance solutions and investment in sustainable projects to promoting resilience and adaptation, we are and will continue to create positive impact.
There were many important takeaways and insights from our engagement with the delegates at the event and we certainly look forward to putting these into practice. We will also continue to actively contribute to the conversations shaping the future of the Asia Pacific region as we build upon our Lifetime Partner promise to our customers.
