Generali Malaysia recognized for outstanding CSR initiative

Generali Malaysia was honored to receive the CSR Initiative of the Year award at the Insurance Asia News Awards for Excellence 2024 held in Hong Kong. This recognition celebrated the success of the Generali Malaysia Run 2024, which brought together over 12,000 runners under the theme “Run with a Purpose.” The event raised RM105,000 for three NGOs: PINTAR Foundation, which provides education for underprivileged children; Malaysian Nature Society, which promotes environmental conservation; and National Cancer Society Malaysia, which raises cancer awareness.

Additionally, Generali Malaysia collaborated with sponsors to support The Human Safety Net Global Challenge, a worldwide fundraising initiative aimed at increasing the support to THSN local projects. Through this partnership, RM354,513 was raised for Suriana Welfare Society Malaysia to provide early childhood education for at-risk communities.

Beyond fundraising, the run fostered community engagement, inspired participation from cancer survivors, and raised awareness through interactive activities. Building on this success, the Generali Malaysia Run will return in May 2025, continuing its mission to create lasting social impact and promote a more sustainable future.
