Generali China Insurance’s Green Energy Emerging Risk Insurance Forum drives dialogue and collaboration between energy and insurance sectors

The Green Energy Emerging Risk Insurance Forum, hosted by Generali China Insurance (GCI) in Beijing, was attended by 150 international guests including policymakers, executives from the energy and insurance sectors, global financial institutions and representatives from startups. The event also marked the official launch of a research publication — the Energy Storage Insurance White Paper, titled “A Stressed Prosperity: Charting a Risk Resilience Blueprint for the Future of Global Energy Storage”, developed by Fudan University and promoted by GCI.

The Forum examined pivotal developments in the green energy transition, emerging risks associated with energy storage, the application of advanced technologies such as AI and drones in on-site risk assessments, and best practices within the insurance and energy sector. It was not just an opportunity to exchange knowledge, but also leverage Generali’s expertise to contribute meaningfully through collaboration to the energy transition both in China and in Asia.

The success of the event also comes as GCI continues to launch new initiatives through the Green Insurance R&D Hub. Launched in June 2025, the Hub is accelerating the energy transition through research on specific topics related to the green insurance value chains and by developing innovative green insurance solutions.
