Value our people - this is one of our group principles that inspires our choices. We like to think of the company as a place where individuals can express their creativity and their ability to work in a team, to learn and to teach. We thus developed a specific human resources strategy that nurtures and supports our employees every day through skills development, motivation through diverse professional experience, training, goal setting, and involvement in initiatives that promote integration and corporate wellbeing.
We provide a stimulating workplace, free of all forms of discrimination, and we promote diversity and inclusion because we believe this is the simplest and best way to attract innovative and talented people and guarantee the group’s future.
We believe that talent, especially young talent, is extremely valuable, but also unpredictably mobile because it goes where it wants to go. As such, we want to make Generali a magnet for attracting talent from across the globe, and we continually invest in finding it:
- we organise and participate in work guidance days for young graduates (career days, job fairs, company presentations and themed workshops on HR-related topics for students);
- we fund study grants for gifted students;
- we support students writing their dissertations and offer internships for outstanding graduates.
These initiatives are facilitated by partnerships with leading universities, Italian businesses and international schools.
In line with the group’s international profile, in 2013, we launched the International Mobility programme in order to drive globalisation and support our new business strategy. The main drivers for international mobility were organisational requirements and the need for individual development. All employees who speak English and have the necessary professional requisites can join the programme.
