Trieste – Eric Lombard joins from October 28 the Generali’s Group Management Committee with responsibility over the Group’s French market. Lombard will be the new Directeur General of Generali France and of the main Group’s French subsidiaries. Claude Tendil, 68, maintains his role as Chairman of Generali France and the main Group’s French subsidiaries.

Lombard, 55, has an extensive international expertise and a deep knowledge of insurance markets, having managed some primary French and international companies. Through the appointment of Lombard, Generali aims to strengthen in the French market, one of the three main markets of the Group. With a premium income that exceeded  €13 billion in 2012, Generali France serves almost 6 million customers through all the distribution channels, including the direct one in which it is the market leader.
