Generali among the best of the integrated governance index 2017

Generali Group ranked third in the Integrated Governance Index 2017, the ranking promoted by the first observatory in Italy and Europe on sustainable and integrated governance within the major Italian listed companies. Doing this kind of evaluation means taking into consideration several variables linked to compliance, accounting, strategic positioning and stakeholders interactions and it represents today one of the most innovative challenges for those who deal with company governance.

Gabriele Galateri Di Genola, Chairman of Assicurazioni Generali, stated: “Generali Group operates in a relevant field for the growth and the welfare of modern societies. Good governance and the gradual integration of sustainability in the business are today among the key factors to deal with some of the major challenges of our time, from demography, to climate change, to Big Data management. The recognition of the Integrated Governance Index 2017 confirms that Generali is considered today a best practice, thanks also to a modern, transparent and efficient system of governance”.

Results and best practices will be presented at the Integrated Governance Index Conference, which will be focused on the good governance of the 40 Italian listed companies in the FTSE Mib.
