The historical archive of the Generali Group

Franz Kafka's signed CV, the insurance policy for Umberto Nobile, an Italian explorer, the policy of Pope John XXIII or the one of emperor Karl I of Austria. These are just some of the fascinating documents and items that can be found in the Assicurazioni Generali Historical Archive. Stories of the great and of the mundane and events from the Company's past are woven together in the great fabric of history.

Generali Group is the proud custodian of the documentary heritage of not one, but three historical organisations: Assicurazioni Generali, Ina Assitalia and Toro Assicurazioni. The Historical Archives have been awarded protected status and declared to be of "great historical interest" by the Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism (Ministero dei Beni e delle Attività Culturali e del Turismo), in that they constitute part of the "cultural heritage" of the country.
