Generali Deutschland ranks number 2 in Germany in terms of direct premium income
and is market leader in Riester, Unit-Linked and term life insurance.
The Group, which is focused on retail business, offers a complete set of innovative
products to fully meet the needs of 13,5 million clients in life, health, property
and casualty insurance and also in the financial services sector. The strategy
aims at exploiting the competitive advantage represented by the multi-channel
distribution system, that maintains a leading position within the different sales
channels (financial advisors of DVAG network, direct channel, traditional distribution
channels). At the same time, the Group is focused on taking advantage of the synergies
between the different operative business units, through the integration and optimization
of the back-office activities in common service companies.
