The commitment and results achieved in the various areas of sustainability have
allowed for an improvement in the Socially Responsible Investment (SRI) ratings assigned by the various agencies specialised in the analysis of social, environmental
and governance (ESG) performance and resulted in the inclusion of Assicurazioni
Generali in important ethical indices.

 Generali is constituent of the following two Ethibel Sustainability Indices (ESI): ESI Excellence Europe and ESI Excellence Euro. The ESI Excellence Europe index selects the 200 highest rated companies in
Europe on the basis of Forum ETHIBEL’s ratings and in accordance with the Ethibel
Sustainability Index Guidelines.
The ESI Excellence Euro Index is a sub-selection with Euro-Zone constituents of ESI Excellence Europe.
The composition of the ESI Excellence indices is based upon the Ethibel Excellence
Register, which is built upon Vigeo research and managed independently by Forum
ETHIBEL. The inclusion of the Company in the above-mentioned indices is assessed
by Forum Ethibel on the basis of the Vigeo criteria covering 6 domains: human
rights, human resources, environment, business behaviour, corporate governance
and community involvement.

Generali is part of the following index: MSCI WORLD ESG;MSCI WORLD ex USA ESG; MSCI KOKUSAI ESG; MSCI WORLD ex AUSTRALIA ESG; MSCI WORLD ex UK ESG; MSCI WORLD SRI; MSCI WORLD ex CONTROVERSIAL WEAPONS; MSCI ACWI ex CONTROVERSIAL WEAPONS; MSCI KOKUSAI SRI; MSCI WORLD ex USA SRI; MSCI KOKUSAI ex CONTROVERSIAL WEAPONS; MSCI WORLD ex USA ex CONTROVERSIAL WEAPONS; MSCI WORLD ex AUSTRALIA ex CONTROVERSIAL WEAPONS. MSCI ESG Indices are designed to help clients incorporate environmental, social and governance
(ESG) factors into their investment decisions.
Generali is member of the STOXX Europe Sustainability and STOXX Europe Sustainability ex AGTAF and STOXX Europe Sustainability ex AGTAFA indices. The components of STOXX Europe Sustainability indices are selected
from the STOXX Europe 600 index according to a sustainability rating provided
by Bank Sarasin based on a combination of company and sector rating. Their analysis
is based on general as well as industry-specific criteria covering all three dimensions
of sustainability: environmental, social and governance.

Since March 2011 Generali has become a constituent of the FTSE4Good Global Index and the FTSE4Good Europe Index two equity indices in the series created by the global index company FTSE Group
to assess performances and to facilitate investments in companies that meet globally
recognized corporate responsibility standards. The Company has met the stringent FTSE4GOOD social and environmental criteria
in the areas of environmental sustainability, human rights, supply chain labour
standards, bribery, climate change, as independently assessed by the agency EIRIS (Experts in Responsible Investment Solutions).
Generali is included both in the Benckmark and in the Leaders indexes of FTSE ECPI ITALIA SRI index series. FTSE and ECPI in partnership are creating Italy's first Socially Responsible Investment (SRI) index. The index inclusion criteria
measure the quality of a company’s environmental and social performance and corporate
governance structure through a series of measures in these areas: Environmental
Strategy and Policy, Environmental Management, Products, Production Process, Community
Relations,, Employees and Human Capital, Markets, Corporate Governance & Shareholders.
Assicurazioni Generali is a constituent of the following ECPI Indices: ECPI Ethical Global Equity composed of the 300 top capitalized companies in the global market; ECPI Ethical Euro Equity and ECPI Ethical EMU Equity, composed of the 150 most capitalized companies in the European market Euro
and in the Economic and Monetary Union holding, respectively and ECPI Developed Ethical+ Equity composed of the 400 most capitalized companies listed in the global developed
markets.
In the Indices, the companies must be eligible investments according to ECPI
SRI Methodology. Since 1997, ECPI is an Italian independent leader company dedicated
to sustainability Research, Rating and Indices. ECPI analysis has been designated
to integrate ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) metrics into the investment
process.
Since September 2010 Generali has been included in the ASPI (Advanced Sustainable Performance Indices) Eurozone. The index selects the 120 best-rated Eurozone companies included
in the DJ Stoxx 600 on the basis of VIGEO’s ratings ( important French agency
that measure companies’ social and environmental performance) and in accordance
with the ASPI Eurozone Guidelines. The VIGEO's CSR ratings cover 6 domains of evaluation: Environment, Human Rights,
Human Resources, Community Involvment, Business Behaviour and Corporate Governance.
