The Sustainability Report was drawn up in accordance with most authoritative
international standards, in particular:
the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) guidelines (G3) and its Financial Services Supplement, published in November
2008, for contents;
the AccountAbility1000 standard developed by the Institute of Social and Ethical Accountability for
data collection.
The Generali Group does not require external assurance of the Sustainability Report from an assurance provider. This choice is based
on its desire to focus its available resources on improving its social and environmental
performance and maintaining an effective reporting system in order to provide
extensive, high-quality information and meet stakeholders’ needs.
