Clients appreciation is vital in the Group strategic vision, as it can consolidate
and increase the success achieved over time. The Group attaches the greatest importance
to maximum client satisfaction through the adoption of high quality standards
for the products and services provided and their constant adaptation to new needs.
The Group conducts several types of surveys to check the level of satisfaction in relation to Generali products and services and the perception of the brand, but also to get to know client/consumer expectations and the reasons behind their decisions.
The number of the Group’s insurance clients is estimated at more than 70 million in 2010, the clear majority of whom are
European. The overall number of clients in the Sustainability Report area is estimated
to be about 43 million: 42.1 million insurance clients (38.15 million in 2009)
and nearly 1.6 million bank clients (1.6 million in 2009).
In accordance with Group strategy and the sales structure in major Group countries,
the Group’s insurance business is focused on the retail and small business segment.
Only 3.2% of its clients are medium/large businesses.
