Giovanni Perissinotto

Giovanni Perissinotto was born in Conselice (Ravenna) on 6 December 1953. He graduated in Economics and Commerce and entered the Generali Group in 1980. He carved out his career in the foreign companies of the Group, returning to Trieste in 1988. He was appointed General Manager in 1998 and Managing Director in 2001. At present he is Chairman of the Generali Investments S.p.A. Supervisory Board and holds many offices as Director of companies belonging to the Generali Group (including Banca Generali S.p.A., Generali Properties S.p.A. and ISIM S.p.A. – of which he is also the Chairman – BSI S.A., of which he is Vice-Chairman, Participatie Maatschappij Graafschap Holland N.V., Transocean Holding Corporation, Generali France S.A., Generali PPF Holding BV, and companies not belonging to the Groups such as Pirelli & C. S.p.A. and Fiat Industrial S.p.A.; he is also a member of the Board of Directors and Council of Assonime, a Member of the Executive Committee of ANIA, and a member of the Advisory Board of the SDA Bocconi School of Management. In 2007 he was awarded the title of Cavaliere del Lavoro.
