This graduation prize was set up by Assicurazioni Generali in 2004. It is named
after Fabio Padoa, a former Generali Managing Director who, in his capacity as
Chairman of the European Insurers’ Association, gave a strong impetus to insurance
research and studies.
The prize is awarded every year to the best university dissertation or PhD thesis
on insurance-related topics in law, economics, finance and statistical and actuarial
sciences.
For the year 2009-2010, theses and dissertations will have to focus on insurance
statistic and actuarial sciences.
